Portland Shelter for Confiscated Creatures

The Portland Shelter for Confiscated Creatures (or PSCC) has been in operation since 1997. We take in abused and illegal exotic animals from all around the Pacific Northwest.

How to Apply

Our application process is rigorous, but we believe that the 10-15 months it takes is necessary to protect these precious creatures. Please contact us with your name, address, facebook page and password, recent credit report, and 3 professional and 6 personal references to get started.

Rita the 'Roo

Rita is a kangaroo who has been with us for several years. Any potential adopter must have at least 100 acres of grassland for her to occupy, with no local predators.

Billy the Python

Billy the Burmese Python is 12 feet long and needs an experienced owner with no next of kin.

Pippin the Hummingbird

Pippin came to us three months ago. He is a diabetic and has an acute taste for all that is sweet. Pippin will need someone who can oversee his daily diet.

Kevin the Kiwi

Kevin was brought over by a Hillsboro man from his last trip to New Zealand. Kevin is considered an invasive species that could wipe out the local population of sparrows. His new owner should have a home that can house him without the need to see the light of day.
